Procurement Policy

Commonwealth Indigenous Procurement Policy

The Australian Commonwealth Government spends billions of dollars on goods and services every year. In July 2015, a policy was introduced which formally commits the Commonwealth Government to a procurement target for goods and services from Indigenous businesses.

The Federal Government’s 2020 Target

The Government has set a target that 3% of procurement contracts need to be awarded to Indigenous businesses and are stipulating that every Government portfolio must meet its target by 2020.

A Certified Indigenous Enterprise is a business that is 51% (or more) owned by Indigenous Australians, with accreditation by the peak body, called Supply Nation which maintains a list of all businesses that meet this requirement.

If you are a Government Department or a Corporate Member of Supply Nation and are looking for Real Estate Services which may include: Business or Asset Sales, Asset leasing or Property Sales or Management Services,  Worimi is able to provide your department with these services. Please contact the Sales team on 1800 858 696, or email peta.holland@raywhite.com for further information.
